TEGNA Leaders Nominated for the Cynopsis Top Women in Media Awards

Just Announced! Congratulations to TEGNA’s COO Lynn Beall, VP of Sales Intelligence Jessica Daigle, and VP & WFAA Station Manager Carolyn Mungo for being honored as Top Women in Media by Cynopsis.

While 2020 had its fair share of challenges, TEGNA had its fair share of women who rose to the occasion, making them perfect nominees for the Cynopsis Top Women in Media Awards Congratulations to TEGNA’s COO Lynn Beall, VP of Sales Intelligence Jessica Daigle, and VP & WFAA Station Manager Carolyn Mungo for being honored as Top Women in Media by Cynopsis.

Industry Leaders: Lynn Beall, EVP, and COO of Media Operations 

This award recognizes those with a “comprehensive, broad knowledge of all matters related to their business as well as the foresight to steer their organizations into the future.” As EVP and COO, Lynn Beall sets the strategy and leads content and revenue initiatives and in 2020 helped the company achieve record financial results. 

 

AdTech Innovator: Jessica Daigle, Senior VP of Sales Intelligence  

This award celebrates the women leading the creation of software and tools to help target, deliver, and analyze digital advertising for brands and agencies alike. Our Senior VP of Sales Intelligence, Jessica Daigle, is nominated for her work with TEGNA Attribution, which, in 2020 alone, measured 7,000 attribution campaigns across a variety of verticals and delivered 17B impressions, 19M website visits, and 11M location visits. 

 

Local News Ambassador: Carolyn Mungo, VP & Station Manager of WFAA; Interim GM of KARE 

Carolyn Mungo is a force for excellence in journalism. As vice president and station manager of TEGNA’s WFAA, she inspires her team to produce trustworthy, original stories distinct from traditional news content. (links below). Her job doubled in 2020 as she became interim general manager of KARE in Minneapolis, one of the most turbulent news markets of 2020. At KARE, Carolyn oversaw coverage of Derek Chauvin’s trial, going beyond headlines and offering context to help Minnesota heal.
